Starter
The default squishy every player starts with. Useful only for your first few races before you can afford the Common tier.
Common
First meaningful upgrade. The 12% Win Boost pays back the 500 Wins cost within roughly 10 races. Unlock this as soon as possible.
Rare
Solid mid-game squishy. Invest your early Gems into upgrading this one before chasing higher tiers. The Luck Boost helps with egg hatching.
Epic
Main progression squishy for late game. Max out its upgrades before your first Rebirth — the Win Boost compounds significantly across Rebirth layers.
Legendary
Best-in-slot squishy. Only target this after your first or second Rebirth. The 80% Win Boost makes it the single most impactful upgrade in the game.
Which Squishy Should You Use?
The answer depends entirely on where you are in your progression. In early game, unlock Common as soon as you have 500 Wins — the Win Boost starts compounding immediately. In mid game, save Gems for upgrading Rare rather than unlocking Epic. The upgrade multiplier on a maxed Rare outperforms an un-upgraded Epic.
In late game and post-Rebirth, target Epic and eventually Legendary. The 45% and 80% Win Boost values at these tiers make every race dramatically more profitable. Once you unlock Legendary and max its upgrades, your Wins-per-hour multiplies by over 2x compared to an unupgraded Rare Squishy.
A key rule: always invest Gems into upgrading one Squishy rather than unlocking multiple. A fully upgraded lower-tier Squishy often beats an unupgraded higher-tier one due to the upgrade multiplier scaling.
Squishy Stats Explained
Win Boost
Increases the Wins you earn per race finish. This is the most important stat — Wins are the universal currency for everything in Dumpling Squishy Race. Prioritize squishies and upgrades with high Win Boost.
Luck Boost
Increases your chance of hatching higher-rarity pets from Eggs. Stacks additively with Luck Potions. Most useful when you are actively hatching Rare or Epic Eggs.
Acceleration Boost
Increases how quickly your dumpling reaches maximum speed during a race. High Acceleration means you spend less of each race at sub-optimal speed. Most impactful in mid-to-late game when races are longer.
