Dumpling Squishy Race Rebirth Guide
Everything you need to know about the Rebirth system — when to do it, what carries over, and how to get the most out of every reset.
What Is Rebirth?
Rebirth in Dumpling Squishy Race is a prestige mechanic that resets your current Speed and Wins in exchange for a permanent training multiplier. This multiplier carries over into every future run, making each subsequent Rebirth faster than the last.
The key insight is that Rebirth does not set you back to zero — it sets you back to a boosted starting point. Your Squishy upgrades, Pet equips, and Partner hires all carry over through Rebirth. Only your raw Speed and Wins are reset, but the permanent multiplier compensates for that within a few racing sessions.
The game currently has 4+ Rebirth layers, each unlocking new mechanics and scaling the multiplier gain formula. Early Rebirths give modest boosts; later ones unlock content and compound dramatically.
When Should You Rebirth?
The most common mistake: Rebirthing too early.
If your training multiplier gain is less than 1.5x, you will spend more time recovering your lost Speed than you gained. Wait until the math works in your favor.
Use the Rebirth Optimizer calculator to check your exact breakeven point. In general:
- First Rebirth: Only when your multiplier gain reaches 1.5x. This is the most important one — do it right and every future Rebirth becomes faster.
- Second Rebirth: Target 2x multiplier gain. By this point your Squishy and Pet should be significantly upgraded.
- Third+ Rebirths: The threshold scales with each layer. Follow the community guidelines in the Dumpling Dash Discord for late-game optimal timing.
Pre-Rebirth Checklist
Complete all critical items before rebirthing to maximize your multiplier value:
Your training multiplier gain is at least 1.5x to 2x your current base (Critical)
You have maxed out your current Squishy upgrades with Gems (Critical)
You have equipped your best available Pet (Critical)
You have used all your Win Potions to maximize Wins count before reset
You have hired at least one Partner for carry-over passive bonuses
You have redeemed all available codes for free Potions
